Home · About
A family-run painting company from Boston, coating homes and workplaces with care since 1998.
Brushcrest began in 1998 when founder Ray Callahan started repainting neighbours' porches around Jamaica Plain. Word travelled the way it always does — one crisp front door at a time — and the two-brush outfit grew into the crew Boston calls first.
Twenty-eight years later the promise hasn't changed: careful preparation, honest scheduling, premium paint, and a home left cleaner than we found it.
Three rules run every Brushcrest job, from a single bedroom to a full office floor.
Washing, sanding, filling, caulking, and priming before a single finish coat — the unseen work that makes paint last a decade.
Drop cloths, shoe covers, masked fixtures, and a full tidy-up every evening. Pets, kids, and work-from-home days planned around.
A written start date, a written finish date, and a foreman on site daily. If weather moves an exterior job, you hear it from us first.
The same three steps, whether it is one accent wall or a whole building.
We measure, test surfaces, and talk through colours and finishes — then leave a fixed written quote within 48 hours.
Masking, repairs, sanding, and primer. Most of the labour lives here, and it is what makes the finish last.
Two finish coats, daylight inspection, touch-ups on the spot, and a signed walkthrough before we pack the brushes.
The foremen and specialists who will actually be in your home — meet them before we arrive.
